So, my blog now has the same page rank as Engadget. Go me!!! Oh… wait. Anyone who has been paying attention has already heard the news about the shift in Google’s algorithm that seems to be penalizing sites for massive cross linking. This is especially relevant to myself as my job is as Lead designer […]
This morning I was surfing through Weblog Tools Collection WordPress Plugins Category and found some very cool plugins that I will probably implement on future projects. – BarunSingh’s Barunio Admin, and Custom Admin Menu – Event Calendar is now at version 3.1, somehow I missed that. I created this Web site from end-to-end. Graphic design, CSS/XHTML, content entry, WordPress integration. XHTML 1.0 Strict, built with Accessiblity and SEO in mind. Released for only 1 month it is already moving towards the top of the ranks for key search phrases for their business.

One of my hobbies is Search Engine Optimization. I am trying to keep this page in the top 5 on a google search for “Heerema”. I am competing with Heerema Group, an international engineering firm, and Heerema Company, another large American engineering company. Isn’t ironic then, that I ignore one of the major things google […]
Yahoo launched a new search engine yesterday. Time to start vying for placement, this one could be big.
Josh asked: “how did I do it?” (breaking the top 10 on a google search for Heerema). I guess I would start by saying, that’s not an entirely remarkable thing. While I did bring it from 500th to 9th in just under two months, Heerema is not exactly a common search term (unless you are […]
